Double amputee Neftaly Martinez, 40, sleeps at the Jesus el Buen Pastor migrant shelter at a poor neighborhood in Tapachula, Mexico near the border with Guatemala. Martinez, a migrant from El Salvador, has been living in Tapachula since 2005, when he lost both legs after falling over the tracks in a cargo train heading to the United States. Every year, tens of thousands of Central American migrants embark on the dangerous journey through Mexico to try to cross into the U.S.
